Maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance in healthcare environments with this specialized 2m Medical IEC C7 power cord. Engineered specifically for clinical settings, this cable features a high-visibility orange jacket that provides excellent contrast against hospital flooring. This distinctive colouring is crucial for reducing tripping hazards in busy wards, operating theatres, and patient rooms where equipment mobility is essential.
A defining feature of this medical-application lead is the use of transparent housings for both the 2-pin Australian mains plug and the IEC C7 (Figure-8) connector. These clear housings allow biomedical engineers and safety officers to perform immediate visual inspections of the internal wiring and termination points. This "see-through" safety feature significantly simplifies routine compliance checks and ensures connection integrity without the need for disassembly.
Reliability is paramount in medical applications, and this cable is constructed to deliver. It utilizes H05VVH2-F specifications with durable 2x0.75mm2 copper conductors, supported by robust integrated strain reliefs that protect against stress during frequent handling. The plug is rated for standard Australian 10A outlets, while the C7 connector supports Class II medical devices such as suction units, nebulisers, and air mattresses.
The compact 2m length is designed for scenarios where equipment is positioned close to power sources, preventing the hazards associated with excess cabling. This length is ideal for desktop medical instruments or bedside monitors, ensuring a tidy workspace without coiling long cables. Backed by a comprehensive 3-year warranty, this power cord ensures long-term performance and peace of mind for critical healthcare infrastructure.
