Enhance the flexibility and safety of your healthcare facility's power infrastructure with this specialized 5m Medical IEC C13 to C14 Extension Cord. Designed for critical environments, this heavy-duty extension lead features a vibrant orange jacket that contrasts sharply against hospital flooring. This high-visibility design is essential for minimizing tripping hazards in busy operating theatres, patient wards, and data centres where reliable power connection is paramount.
A key safety innovation of this cable is the use of transparent housings for both the IEC C13 (female) and IEC C14 (male) connectors. These clear plugs enable biomedical engineers and IT staff to perform instant visual inspections of the internal wiring and termination integrity. This capability simplifies routine compliance checks and ensures that the earth, active, and neutral connections remain secure without the need for disassembly.
Built to withstand the rigours of medical and industrial use, this extension cord is constructed with H05VV-F specifications featuring 3G1.0mm2 copper conductors. This 1.0mm2 gauge offers superior electrical performance and durability compared to standard domestic leads, making it suitable for powering sensitive medical devices, rack-mounted equipment, and UPS systems. The cord is rated for 10A 250V applications.
The generous 5m length provides the necessary reach to bridge gaps between equipment and power distribution units (PDUs) or wall outlets without creating tension. Whether extending an existing lead or connecting a mobile cart to a remote power source, this cable ensures a secure and compliant connection. Backed by a comprehensive 3-year warranty, it is a trusted solution for maintaining an organized and safe clinical workspace.
