The TP-Link EAP668-Outdoor HD is a high-performance Omada AX3600 Wi-Fi 6 access point engineered for demanding high-density outdoor environments. Delivering ultra-fast speeds of up to 3.6Gbps (2402Mbps on 5GHz and 1148Mbps on 2.4GHz), it ensures seamless connectivity for over 1,024 devices simultaneously. Its robust design features an IP68-rated weatherproof enclosure and 6kV lightning protection, making it capable of reliable operation in extreme Australian conditions ranging from -40°C to +70°C.
Equipped with professional-grade hardware, this unit includes a 10G SFP+ slot for high-bandwidth backhaul, a 2.5G PoE-In port, and a Gigabit PoE-Out port to simplify network expansions. The four external N-Type omni antennas provide 6dBi high-gain dual-band coverage, ensuring strong signal penetration and expansive range. This combination of high-speed throughput and versatile physical connectivity makes it a premier choice for large-scale outdoor deployments.
Integration into the Omada ecosystem provides centralised cloud management, allowing for remote monitoring and configuration via the Omada app or controller. Advanced wireless features such as Omada Mesh, Seamless Roaming, and Beamforming optimise network performance and user experience by eliminating dead zones and ensuring smooth handoffs between access points. Security is prioritised with WPA3 encryption, captive portal authentication, and rogue AP detection.
Installation is flexible and efficient with included wall and pole mounting kits that support horizontal adjustment. The device supports 802.3at/bt PoE input and provides 802.3at PoE output when powered by a bt-source, reducing cabling complexity. Whether for outdoor events, campus-wide connectivity, or industrial sites, the EAP668-Outdoor HD offers a resilient, high-capacity solution for modern networking needs.
