The D-Link DGS-1250-52X is a high-performance 52-Port Gigabit Smart Managed Switch designed to serve as a cost-effective solution for Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMB) and Enterprise access layers. It features 48 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports and 4 dedicated 10G SFP+ ports, providing the essential high-bandwidth uplinks needed to eliminate network bottlenecks. This switch delivers real network horsepower, allowing for seamless integration of servers and storage systems via high-speed optical connections.
Equipped with Advanced Layer-2 and Lite Layer-3 features, the DGS-1250-52X includes Static Routing to improve network efficiency by offloading internal traffic from the core router. It supports a comprehensive suite of management options, including a dedicated RJ45 console port with full Command Line Interface (CLI), a multilingual web-based GUI, and the D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) utility. This versatility ensures that network administrators can easily configure, monitor, and troubleshoot the network according to their specific requirements.
Security and reliability are paramount in the DGS-1250-52X design. It incorporates the D-Link Safeguard Engine to protect against traffic flooding caused by malicious attacks, alongside advanced features like 802.1X port-based authentication, Access Control Lists (ACL), and ARP Spoofing Prevention. To ensure maximum uptime, the switch supports Dual Image and Dual Configuration files, allowing for seamless firmware upgrades and configuration changes without significant service interruptions.
Optimised for modern business needs, the switch includes specialised modes such as Auto Voice VLAN and Surveillance Mode. These features automatically detect and prioritise VoIP and ONVIF-compatible IP camera traffic, ensuring crystal-clear communication and stable video feeds. With its energy-efficient design, including D-Link Green technology and IEEE 802.3az support, the DGS-1250-52X provides a powerful yet environmentally conscious networking foundation for any growing Australian business.
