The Moxa ioLogik E1212 is a high-performance Ethernet remote I/O module designed for versatile industrial automation and data acquisition applications. It provides a flexible combination of 8 digital inputs and 8 configurable digital input/output (DIO) channels, making it ideal for monitoring and controlling a variety of sensors and actuators. Engineered for reliability and seamless system integration, the E1212 bridges the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) by supporting multiple communication protocols simultaneously.
A standout feature of the ioLogik E1212 is its integrated 2-port Ethernet switch, which enables daisy-chain topologies. This functionality significantly reduces wiring complexity and eliminates the need for additional network switches, resulting in lower installation costs and a cleaner network layout. The ability to create expandable, multi-drop I/O networks over standard Ethernet cables makes it a cost-effective solution for distributed systems in factory automation, security, and remote monitoring.
Ease of use is central to the ioLogik E1212's design. Configuration is straightforward via a user-friendly web browser interface, while the ioSearch utility simplifies mass deployment and setup. The device also supports user-definable Modbus TCP addressing, which offers greater flexibility and simplifies the process of upgrading or integrating into existing SCADA or PLC systems. With intelligent features like peer-to-peer communication, the E1212 can directly map input signals to an output channel on another device, further reducing wiring and programming time.
Built for industrial environments, the ioLogik E1212 features a robust design with a standard operating temperature range of -10 to 60°C and can be easily mounted on a DIN-rail or wall. Its multi-protocol support, including Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, RESTful API, and SNMP, ensures that data can be accessed effortlessly by both industrial controllers and modern IIoT platforms, making it a future-proof investment for any automation project.
