The Moxa TCC-100I is an industrial-grade converter designed to seamlessly extend RS-232 communication over RS-422 or RS-485 networks. It is the perfect solution for industrial environments where transmission distances exceed the limits of standard RS-232, enabling reliable long-distance data transfer. Engineered for critical applications, this device provides a robust and dependable bridge between different serial interfaces, ensuring your network operates flawlessly.
A standout feature of the TCC-100I is its 2 kV optical isolation. This technology provides a crucial protective barrier, safeguarding your sensitive and valuable equipment from electrical surges, transient voltages, and ground loop noise. This level of protection is essential in industrial settings where electrical interference can lead to data corruption or equipment damage, ensuring maximum uptime and system integrity.
Designed for the rigours of the factory floor, the TCC-100I is housed in a compact, IP30-rated metal enclosure. It offers versatile installation options with both wall and DIN-rail mounting capabilities, allowing for easy integration into existing control cabinets. The inclusion of a plug-in terminal block simplifies wiring, while LED indicators for power, transmit, and receive signals provide at-a-glance status monitoring for quick diagnostics.
The TCC-100I simplifies RS-485 communication with its built-in Automatic Data Direction Control (ADDC). This feature intelligently manages the data flow, eliminating the need for software modifications to control the transmission direction. Supporting a wide range of baud rates up to 921.6kbps and a flexible 12 to 48VDC power input, the TCC-100I is a versatile and powerful tool for any industrial serial communication network.
