The Cisco Nexus High Resolution Timestamp Capture NIC is a 10Gbps, 0.25 nanosecond resolution network capture card that supports full line-rate capture with High Resolution Timestamps (HPT). It can synchronize the HPT clock with a PPS source such as a Grand Master and/or GPS receiver to within 1ns, and hardware assists Precision Time Protocol (PTP IEEE1588) packets for 2ns time synchronisation across machines.
Network Interface Card (formerly Exablaze ExaNIC)
10 Gigabit Ethernet, SFP+ x 2
PCIe 3.0 x8 interface
0.25 nanosecond (250 picosecond) timestamp resolution
Ultra-low latency network adapter
Full line-rate packet capture with nanosecond and picosecond resolution
Programmable flow steering and load balancing
Supports standard PCAP and enhanced PCAP formats
Direct API access (libexanic) for low-level hardware access
Transparent TCP/UDP socket acceleration library (exasock)
Linux driver support
Half-height, half-length form factor
PPS input/output capability for time synchronization
