Microsoft’s own Thunderbolt 4 dock for Surface, moving data at up to 40Gbps and supplying 165W, enough to take a laptop from low to full in roughly two and a half hours while still powering accessories. Eight ports cover three USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, three USB-A, 2.5 gigabit Ethernet, audio and a security lock slot, and it will drive two 4K displays at 60Hz. Rear ports carry raised tactile indicators so they can be found by touch. It works with Thunderbolt 4 Surface devices at full speed and with older USB-C Surface models at reduced capability.
