The Alta Labs AP6-W is a high-performance, 4-stream wall-mount enterprise access point designed for seamless integration into hospitality, multi-dwelling units (MDUs), and commercial spaces. Its sleek and compact design ensures it blends into any environment. Featuring the latest WiFi 6 technology, the AP6-W delivers superior range and performance, supporting over 250 concurrent clients and a combined throughput rate of up to 3.0Gbps, ensuring reliable connectivity for all users.
Powering the AP6-W is incredibly flexible, with multi-direction PoE+ input on both the back and bottom ports, allowing for versatile installation options. It also features a PoE passthrough port to power an additional device, reducing cable clutter. For non-PoE environments, the unit can be powered by an optional 12VDC adapter. This versatility, combined with included mounting hardware for walls or junction boxes, makes installation straightforward in any scenario.
Management is streamlined through the scalable, cloud-based interface and mobile app, allowing for on-the-fly changes, real-time status monitoring, and easy multi-site management without needing a reboot. The AP6-W is packed with advanced software features, including a built-in DPI engine for content filtering, hotspot functionality, and intelligent WiFi scheduling. Security is robust, supporting WPA3-Personal and Enterprise encryption standards.
A standout feature is the patented AltaPass™ technology, which allows a single SSID to use multiple passwords. Each password can be assigned unique parameters, such as different VLANs, rate limits, or bypass rules for hotspot and content filters. This provides unparalleled control over network access for guests, IoT devices, and internal users, making it a truly versatile solution for complex network environments.
