The Algo 8420 is a high-performance, dual-sided IP visual display speaker designed for effective communication in large open spaces, hallways, and corridors. This SIP-compliant device integrates two 15.6" wide-angle LCD screens, high-intelligibility speakers, and multi-colour LED flashers to provide a comprehensive notification solution. Whether used for emergency alerting, public address, or day-to-day informational messaging, the 8420 ensures your message is seen and heard from both directions with absolute clarity.
The dual LCD screens offer unlimited visual possibilities, supporting scrolling text, full-colour images, and digital or analogue NTP-synched clocks. With a viewing angle of 88° in all directions and over 16 million colours, the display remains vibrant and legible even from off-axis positions. This makes it an ideal choice for Australian schools, hospitals, and transport terminals where clear, instantaneous visual communication is critical for safety and operational efficiency.
Audible communication is equally robust, featuring wideband HD voice and a maximum SPL of 106dBA. An integrated omnidirectional microphone enables ambient noise response, allowing the speaker to automatically adjust its volume based on the surrounding environment. It also supports two-way talkback, allowing staff to communicate back to a central monitoring station during an event. This combination of audio and visual cues ensures that notifications reach all individuals, including those in high-noise areas or with hearing impairments.
Designed for modern IT environments, the Algo 8420 is powered via PoE++ for simple single-cable installation and features secure SIP protocols like TLS and SRTP. It supports multicast scalability, allowing a single device to broadcast to many endpoints across a campus. With a durable build and a 12GB internal memory for storing custom WAV and MP3 files, the 8420 is a reliable and versatile addition to any unified communications platform.
